The City of Hondo supports water conservation. We would like to provide you with some helpful tips to bring conservation from the countryside to your backyard. Ten conservation tip sheets for homeowners and city residents to use in their yard provided by the Natural Resources Conservation Service are available here.

Did you know that you can garden your backyard and certify it as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat site with the National Wildlife Federation? It's easy! The Hondo Garden Club in coordination with the Parks Board encourages you to inquire more on this method. More information available here.
